Good Luck Trolls: From toy to design object
Thomas Dam created the first Lucky Troll in 1957 in his house in the small town of Gjøl on the Limfjord. The first figure was intended to be a self-portrait, carved as a gift for his daughter. However, Thomas thought the figure looked more like a troll—and thus the Lucky Troll was born.
